Amortentia is known for being a love potion that is extremely powerful. The result of this potion causes the drinker to develop an extreme infatuation with someone. This is something that smells different for each person based on what they are attracted to. We have put together an Amortentia quiz, which will let you know what yours would smell like. We have also included the confirmed smells from the series and more.

Possible Quiz Results
Here are the smells that we made up for this quiz. Also helps to answer the question of: which Harry Potter character would smell you in their Amortentia? This is because all of these are inspired by specific characters.
Bacon, Your Mother’s Cooking, & The Burrow
Ron Weasley’s Amortentia smell was never officially revealed in the books or movies but fans have guessed that his would include bacon, and something to do with his Mother’s cooking (which he loved). It would also be either be the hair or perfume from Hermione Granger. Instead of the last part (to make it less Ron specific), we changed it to The Burrow, which was his family’s home.
This is inspired by Ron and anyone else who loves the smell of ‘home’, wherever that might be for you.
Fresh Coffee, A New Book And The Hogwarts library
I think that this would make for a pretty good smell though for someone who likes to read. This is inspired by any person who loves the smell of a new book and loves getting cozy to read. We also can’t forget about a nice cup of coffee to go along with it.
This is inspired by Hermione’s Amortentia, which includes fresh parchment in hers. She also loves to read and go to the library, so I put my own spin on it to make it a bit more general.
Fresh-cut Cedar, Campfire, And The Hogwarts Grounds
I think this would be great for someone that loves the outdoors. Campfire and fresh-cut cedar are two very popular (and fantastic) outdoor smells. It might remind you of being outside when you were a kid.
This smell is inspired by Hagrid, who served as the Gamekeeper at Hogwarts. Based on his job, he loved to be outdoors and I imagine that he is a big fan of a nice campfire.
Butterbeer, Broomstick Handle, And The Leaky Cauldron
For this one, I went with a pub/ sports fan vibe. This would be inspired by places like The Leaky Cauldron, which was a popular Wizarding pub. I imagine that many students went to the pub to watch Quidditch matches and enjoy a couple of drinks.
This smell is inspired by characters like Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Anyone who loves sports (aka Quidditch in the Wizarding World).
Speaking of our favorite Wizarding Sports, make sure to take our Quidditch quiz, where we will tell you the position you would play.
Turkey, Apple Pie, And The Hogwarts Great Hall.
For this one, I was inspired by the Great Hall of Hogwarts. During the various feasts at the school, students would eat things like roast beef and roast chicken. They would also have various treats like apple pie and treacle tart’s.
This smell is inspired by those who like large gatherings. The food items are inspired by what you would get at Thanksgiving dinner or at a big social event. I would say Albus Dumbledore probably fits here.
Flowers, Fresh Herbs, And The Herbology Greenhouse
This smell is inspired for anyone that loves growing things in their garden. Two great smells related to that are flowers and then fresh cut herbs. We also included the Herbology Greenhouse, which I imagine would smell fantastic.
This would be inspired by Neville Longbottom, who loved Herbology class and later become the Herbology professor at Hogwarts.
