Hermione Quiz Questions & Answers
Here are some more details on the answers (only read AFTER you have taken the quiz). This provides you with some more details on the Hermione trivia questions that you got wrong. We have included every question and also the answer.
1) What material makes up the core of Hermione’s wand?
Hermione’s wand was made of vine wood and a dragon heartstring core. She shares the same core as Viktor Krum, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Minerva McGonagall. Dragon Heartstring wands tend to have the most power out of any of the other cores and also can be temperamental. Wands that use Dragon Heartstring are also capable of producing the most flamboyant spell and it is one of the easiest to turn to the dark arts.
2) What Is Hermione’s Parents’ Occupation?
Hermione’s parents are both Muggle dentists. As a result, Hermione is teased throughout the series for being a ‘mudblood’. ‘Mudblood’ is an insult in the Wizarding world, which makes fun of those who don’t have witches or wizards as parents.
3) What was Hermione’s brother’s name?
Hermione does not actually have any siblings and is an only child. In previous interviews, JK Rowling admits that she originally planned for Hermione to have a sister but ended up scrapping it. It is interesting to imagine if Rowling had included that in the storline and if it would have changed Hermione’s path.
4) What Is Hermione’s Patronus?
Hermione’s Patronus is an otter, which is JK Rowling’s favorite animal. We know this because an otter appears during a scene where Dumbledore’s Army are practicing their Patronus’.
5) How many points did Hermione receive for Gryffindor at the end of the Philosopher’s Stone?
Hermione earned 50 points for Gryffindor for her heroic performance. This came as a result of Hermione answering Professor Snape‘s potions riddle correctly. These points ultimately helped Gryffindor win the House Cup for that year.
6) What did Hermione place on the grave of Harry’s parents in Godric’s Hollow?
Hermione conjured a spell to place a wreath of roses on their graves when she and Harry went to visit. A wreath made sense because it was Christmas when Harry and Hermione visited.
7) Finish this quote from Hermione: “I’ve always admired your courage Harry, but sometimes you can be really _______.”
The answer is “thick” and is followed by her saying “you don’t really think you’re going to be able to find all those Horcruxes by yourself, do you? You need us, Harry”. This comes as a result of Harry wanting to go and destroy the horcruxes without Ron and Hermione.
8) What did Dumbledore give to Hermione Granger in his will?
Hermione received a copy of ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard’ in Dumbledore‘s will. In the will it said, “in the hope that she will find it entertaining and instructive.” As a result, Hermione learns the story of the three brothers in this book.
9) Where does Hermione send her parents in order to protect them?
Hermione sends her parents to Australia in order to protect them. This was because she was worried that the Death Eaters would track and harm them. In the Deathly Hallows book, Hermione says that after the battle is over, she will lift their enchantments. As a result, it is assumed that Hermione does that after Voldemort is defeated.
10) What are the names of Ron And Hermione’s Children?
Ron and Hermione have two children, Rose and Hugo. Both of their last names are Granger-Weasley since Ron and Hermione joined their last names after getting married. Ron and Hermione also serve as the Godparents to Harry and Ginny’s son, James Sirius.
